Written Report Comments - Introduction

Written report comments are an integral aspect of new policy requirements around reporting to parents. They provide parents with clear and consistent information about a child’s progress at school highlighting what a child can do well and what a child will need further development with in the coming semester.

This web resource is designed to assist teachers and schools to write comments. It includes useful tips in school planning for report comment writing, advice around effective comment writing, annotated report comments which include both individual KLA comments for Primary and Secondary schools and general comments for reports.

The web pages also include a Power point presentation for use by school leaders to assist staff development in the area of effective report comment writing.
