Reporting to parents

Workshop materials

This material has been developed to assist primary school leaders in workshops with staff in planning for and implementing the Curriculum planning and programming, assessing and reporting to parents K-12 policy.

The policy and support material have been developed as part of the Department’s response to recommendations of the report by Professor Ken Eltis on the Evaluation of Outcomes Assessment and Reporting in NSW Government Schools, Time to teach –- time to learn and the subsequent consultation with parents, teachers and other key groups.

Primary workshop options

Three options for workshops have been developed to assist primary school leaders to facilitate discussions and planning with staff and parents.

School leaders may choose to use this material to run sessions on the school development day.

Each workshop has a Powerpoint presentation, presenter's notes and downloadable materials.
