Policy
The policy, Curriculum Planning, Programming, Assessing & Reporting to parents K-12, was developed to clarify for teachers and schools what is required in curriculum planning and programming, assessing and reporting to parents.
The three sections of the policy reinforce the strong links that exist between effective curriculum planning and programming, assessing and reporting to parents.
The policy standards are integral to the policy. They detail specific requirements, where appropriate. Together, the policy and the policy standards specify what is required, for all students, K - 12, in all NSW Government schools.

The policy was developed in response to recommendations from the report, Time to teach - time to learn, by Professor Ken Eltis and Australian Government legislation.
The NSW Board of Studies Foundation Statements were also developed in response to the report. These statements provide a summary of the expectations for students in each stage of learning for each KLA. |
