About the School Magazine

For over 90 years The School Magazine has been introducing Australian children to the pleasures of literacy and literature. Across 10 issues each school year The School Magazine provides an engaging mix of diverse literary genres, including stories, poems, plays, nonfiction articles, crosswords, cartoons, puzzles and activities. The School Magazine's four titles cater for early independent readers (ages 8/9) through to advanced primary school readers (ages 11/12).
Illustrated by leading Australian artists The School Magazine is a verbally and visually exciting reading experience. The School Magazine can be used in the classroom or at home. Accompanying Teaching Units, available on subscription with every issue of the magazine, and a free guide for teachers, make The School Magazine an outstanding resource for teaching reading and related literacy across key learning areas.
