Professional Learning and Leadership Development
You will find policy frameworks and resources for supporting teacher learning, leadership learning, and school administrative staff learning on the Professional Learning and Leadership Development web site of the NSW Department of Education and Training.
Institute of Teachers
The Institute of Teachers was established to support quality teaching in all NSW schools. Its charter is to advance the status and standing of the teaching profession.
The Institute works to support the career-long development of teachers and to assure both the profession and the community of the quality of teacher education programs.
Professional Learning Exchange (PLE)
The Professional Learning Exchange (PLE) is a database detailing information about professional learning programs. Providers include the Department's state and regional offices, universities, professional teacher associations and other training providers.
The PLE's search engine assists teachers to pinpoint the most suitable and cost-effective programs for their professional learning needs. The structure of the PLE reflects the Department's professional learning priorities.
