Professional learning activities
Curriculum K–12 Directorate will provide a range of workshops and other professional learning opportunities across New South Wales during 2006. These practical and relevant activities will:
- enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of current syllabuses
- allow participants to discuss syllabus implementation issues with consultants and fellow practitioners
- develop or enhance professional networks
- provide up-to-date information on Departmental policies and priorities.
This statewide workshop program will provide learning and development opportunities in a wide range of subject areas and across all stages of schooling. Given the devolution of professional learning funds to schools from 2004, many of these activities will incur a charge to meet the costs of conducting them. For some programs funded from external sources, there will be no charge.
