ICT in Science 7-12 support
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are integrated within the outcomes and content of the Science Years 7-10 and Stage 6 syllabuses. The syllabuses make some explicit statements about the ICT that is to be incorporated into teaching and learning at time being quite precise in linking to specific 'learn about' and/or 'learn to' content.
For example:
4/5.16 a) 'students learn to use a range of sources, including databases, CD-ROMs and the internet to access information.'
Stage 6 Biology 12.4 c) students select and use appropriate methods, including computer-assisted analysis, to best illustrate trends and patterns

Trial Year 10 Computing Skills Assessment Support Materials 2003
A numer of activities have been developed to provide teachers with models for activities that could be used in a lesson(s) within across the range of subjects including science.
A number of the activities have been designed to be used as tutorial exercises to help students become familiar with specific applications. The exercises could be used a pre-tests before other more independent activities are undertaken.
While each activity has been designed with a specific subject in mind, teachers will find that many activities can be modified to suit other subject areas and syllabus content. These can be found at:
