The backyard diversity project
This Stage 4 unit of work (edited: 12/2/03) was developed by Moira Burns, Head Teachers, Science/Maths, Ariah Park Central School, with assistance from Jenny Green, Boorowa Central. The unit was trialed by a number of schools in NSW during 2001 and 2002. A snapshot provides information about how to participate and shows student work samples. SETI
This version of SETI: The search for life in our solar system can be used by individual students or groups of students. There are seven missions to complete, some of which will have students researching data bases, exploring astronomical simulations, solving space problems and designing space vehicles. This online unit includes some electronic learning objects from the Practical Resources and Interactive Science Materials (PRISM) project developed by the Learning and Teaching Innovation Division, Victorian Department of Education and Training.
