Science Years 7-10

New Resource for teaching Electricity

This resource has been developed by DET in collaboration with EnergyAustralia. The material covers all of the requirements from the BOS syllabus and is designed to povide teachers with a unit which they can take directly to the classroom, or allow their students to work through at their own pace. The resource contains;

* Notes on the main areas of the syllabus which relate to electricity.
* Experiments to support the notes and allow first-hand investigations
* Carefully selected learning objects which reinforce the ideas being covered
* Quizzes to allow the students to tell how well they are learning the material

Years 7-10 Science

In 2006 the newest Years 7-10 Science Syllabus will be in full implementation across NSW. The Science Unit has been working with teachers to support implementation.
