Board of Studies Assessment Resource Centre
The aim of the resource centre is to support and enhance professional practice in the assessment and reporting of student achievement across Years K to 12. It has been developed primarily for teachers, although parents and students will also find the resource useful. On the website you will find assessment activities, student work samples aligned to the A–E Common Grade Scale, a summary of Board of Studies requirements regarding assessment and credentialling, information about assessment for learning, and links to useful assessment resources. Stage 4 assessment
ESSA
The Essential Secondary Science Assessment is a Science assessment program for students approaching the end of Stage 4. It joins the statewide assessments of literacy and numeracy – English Language and Literacy Assessment (ELLA) and the Secondary Numeracy Assessment Program (SNAP) – in providing information about the skills of secondary students. Securing their future
This resource folder, published in 1998, contains examples of assessment schemes, contained in Section 1, and ten school snapshots of rich assessment tasks, contained in Section 2. These were trialed during 1998, with the evaluations published in a Section 3.
