Investigating specific groups in the community
In the Community and Family Studies HSC core module Groups in context, students explore the role that specific groups in society play in meeting the needs of individuals, families and communities. This WebQuest uses the resources available on the Internet to research information about a particular group in society. It provides links to resources and supports you as you work through the steps in the task.
Important considerations
Ensure you have a good understanding of the terminology used in the Community and Family Studies syllabus. Also, ensure you have explored, in general terms, the range of groups identified in the CAFS syllabus. For each of the identified groups, you should have an understanding of their characteristics and specific needs. This will help you make a decision about which group you will focus on for this WebQuest.
