Focus Area 2: Drug issues
The themes describe the content of the focus area. It is mandatory to address all four themes in this focus area. The four themes include:

The Centre for Learning Innovation has developed an online resource called Crossroads: Drug issues to assist with implementation. It is available on the DET Intranet.

The resource explores health issues specific to drugs and alcohol, and engages students through Flash activities and video footage of young people discussing the issues. Links to significant websites help students expand their learning and develop an awareness of support networks in the broader community. A teacher support section has background information and advice on implementing an effective Crossroads program in school.
