In preparing for the initial implementation of the new Mathematics 7-10 syllabus in 2004, thirteen high schools from different districts across the state took part in a project focusing on developing dynamic mathematics programs. In 2003, the project addressed programming and teaching the new syllabus for years 7 and 8.
The Mathematics 7-10 dynamic programming project provided the thirteen mathematics faculties with time to plan, write programs and test the implementation of different programming approaches that cater for the needs of all students. The results of this project are shared with faculties across the state through this website.
Each project school received a grant to enable the faculty leader to take part in three one-day workshops (one each term) with the remainder of the funds supporting the development process within the school.
In 2004, some of the project schools changed as the focus of the project moved more to preparing to implement in Stage 5. Sefton High School, Trangie Central School, Henry Kendall High School and Heathcote High School joined the program replacing Randwick Boys High School, Manly Selective Campus, Nepean High School and South Grafton High School.
