This one day workshop combines the two workshops:
- Transforming Numeracy in the Middle Years – Tape Diagrams
- Transforming Numeracy in the Middle Years – Working Mathematically with Patterns in Number.
Workshop sessions will include an:
- introduction to tape diagrams. A tape diagram offers students a thinking tool to visually represent a mathematical problem and transform the words into an appropriate numerical operation
- analysis of lessons that investigate patterns in number
- overview of Newman’s error analysis
- overview of the Lesson study model.

Teachers who wish to register for this workshop need to be approved by the Principal to attend.
This workshop is available to NSW DET teachers only.
Registrations close five working days before the scheduled workshop.

Once registration is completed, participants will receive workshop confirmation, details of the venue and an agenda for the workshop.
A registration fee of $110 per day (incl. GST) for government schools will be charged for each participant. This fee includes morning tea and lunch and all workshop materials.
