Head teacher mathematics workshop flyer (pdf - 180 kb)
This two day workshop, for head teachers of mathematics and mathematics teachers aspiring to be head teachers, aims to support leadership development and curriculum management. The workshop provides opportunities for reflection and analysis of current practices based on school scenarios and opportunities to develop new approaches to leading and managing a mathematics faculty.
Sessions will include:
- leadership and the role of the head teacher mathematics
- managing the faculty
- interpersonal skills and mathematics team building
- promoting effective mathematics teaching and learning
- catering for individual differences in the mathematics classroom
- using data to improve students' learning outcomes in mathematics
- planning for action
Teachers who wish to register for this workshop need to be approved by the Principal to attend.
This workshop is available to NSW DET only.
Registrations close five working days before the scheduled workshop.

Curriculum K-12 professional learning
Once registration is completed, participants will receive workshop confirmation, details of the venue and an agenda for the workshop.
A registration fee of $110 per day (incl. GST) for government schools will be charged for each participant. This fee includes morning tea and lunch and all workshop materials.
