Cross curriculum
The Board of Studies has developed cross curriculum content that is to be included in the outcomes and content of the mathematics syllabuses. The content addresses issues, perspectives and policies that will assist students to achieve the broad learning outcomes.
These cross curriculum content areas relate to the mathematics syllabuses:
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that utilise ICT.
Work, Employment and Enterprise
Work, employment and enterprise content enables students to develop work-related knowledge, skills and understanding through mathematics. These resources and links explore activities useful in developing work-related concepts in mathematics.
Numeracy
A fundamental component of learning across all areas of the curriculum. A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that focus on numeracy.
Literacy
A fundamental component of learning across all areas of the curriculum. A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that focus on literacy in mathematics.
Gifted and Talented (GAT)
Sample units of work and ideas for implementing extension programs in mathematics.
Key Competencies
Key competencies are essential for effective participation in existing and emerging learning for future education, work and life in general.
