Planning for an exchange
Take your students on a virtual exchange to Germany! Students select from eight different host families and send them an email of introduction. Students also select a present to give their host family and provide reasons for their choice. This activity includes relevant web sites for researching the home towns of the host families, as well as the addresses for actual pen-friend and exchange organisations, so interested students can make that extra step.

Using rhyme as a cue, students fill in the blanks to complete the poem about the Kunterbunt family. Younger students could cut out the missing words and glue them into the correct spaces.
