Sample scope and sequence
Developed by the Curriculum K-12 Directorate. Please note that the suggested sub-topics are neither prescriptive or exhaustive. They are suggested only.
Sample unit of work: Friends, recreation and pastimes
This unit is intended for Term 2 of the Preliminary Course and includes the sub-topics Leisure and Sport and Health and Fitness. It also incorporates the previously studied topic Family life, home and neighbourhood.

Sample task 1
A linked reading /writing task for students who have completed the preliminary course, including the topics Family life, home and neighbourhood; Friends, recreation and pastimes; People, places and communities.
Sample task 2
A writing task for students nearing the end of the Beginners course and who have studied all topics and grammatical items.
