Teaching students experiencing difficulties in learning: Information for teachers of Languages
Approximately 10-16% of a school’s student population experiences problems with learning. This brochure has been designed specifically to support teachers of Languages, providing advice on how to adjust teaching and learning activities to be inclusive of all students. Detailed strategies in the four macro skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) have been provided, as well as sample tasks to illustrate scaffolding.
Creative Technologies in European Languages
Held in August 2008, this workshop looked at ways in which teachers can incorporate technology into their language lessons, including:
- website links with activities for individual work or IWBs

- how to use Movie Maker (see separate link below)
- Activstudio (developing flipcharts for IWBs).
Photo Story: How to...
Photo Story is freeware which enables students to present a story about themsleves, incorporating photographs, sound and text. This document will guide you through making your own Photo Story, and could also be distributed to students.
Movie Maker: How to...
Almost all students love making movies! With this easy freeware, you can incorporate film into your lessons. Students can edit and order their clips, adding opening credits, closing credits and a soundtrack.
