A new resource has been made available for teachers of Stage 4 Geography.  Ambush in Bandhavgarh is a set of 30, 48 page books that detail the life of tigers and include a case study outlining the management of endangered Bengal Tigers at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in India.

In studying (4G4) Global Issues and the Role of Citizenship, students look at global geographic issues including threatened habitats, which can be accessed through the Bandhavgarh case study. In particular, students can clearly see what the nature of the issue is, learn about the actions of individuals, groups and governments and learn to describe the spatial and ecological dimensions of the issue. The impact of tourism on the Reserve is also covered.

The book includes chapters on:
Spatial distribution of tigers in India
Endangered tigers
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve – case study
Protecting Bandhavgarh tigers
Active citizenship in the protection of tigers
Tourism in Bandhavgarh
What can we do?

The books are available for a cost of $77 per pack of 30 books (including GST, postage and handling). Books can be order using the fax back order form.
