Teaching and learning about film in Stage 6

This material was published for the English Local Interest Group (LIG) in-service held in August 2002 for representatives from secondary schools in all sectors. Take One is a separate CD-ROM which is not available on the web. It was distributed at the LIG with the Enhancing literacy in secondary English (ElisE ) CD-ROM, video and print materials.

This program is designed for use as a package. Teachers can implement it in the classroom as an Area of Study for a Preliminary Standard, ESL or Advanced class. It is a complete unit of work with a clear teaching/learning sequence related to four key outcomes from the Stage 6 English Syllabus.

Voices and Visions online tutorial

This website is an online tutorial for all four of the Voices and Visions: Texts for the Senior English Classroom: from China, India, Indonesia, Japan. These CD-ROMs have been distributed to all secondary schools and are valuable resources to use with Stages 5-6 English classes.

Macbeth unit. This general unit on Macbeth has been written for students in Years 10-11.
