NSW HSC Online: Introduction to The Area of Study

Navigator is new interactive research tools developed by the State Library of NSW. The HSC English Navigator contains details about web sites, online databases and books that are relevant to the HSC curriculum. It also includes instructions on how to get the best out of these resources.

Standard, ESL and Advanced English students may find this site helpful for the Area of Study: The Journey for the HSC 2004-2007.

Huckleberry Finn teaching idea.The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is a prescribed Area of Study text for the Standard and Advanced courses in the 2004-7 HSC. It is in the Focus Area: Physical Journeys.

Peter Skrzynecki poems teaching ideas. Immigrant Chronicle by Peter Skrzynecki is a prescribed Area of Study text for the Standard, ESL and Advanced courses in the 2004-7 HSC. There are seven poems set for study. It is in the Focus Area: Physical Journeys (Standard and Advanced)
