  • How can iMovie be used in the English classroom?
    These ideas are from the QTP TILT Plus English iMovie Technical guide. The Outcomes referred to here are from the English Stage 6 Syllabus but the activities can be adapted for Years 7-10 English classes.

  • Integrating information and communication technologies in teaching and learning online course modules (Government school teachers only). 
    This site offers you an opportunity to engage in a range of self paced tutorials.  These are supported with teaching activities designed to meet sylabus outcomes through the use of Information and Communication Technologies.  The current secondary English courses and materials are: Visual texts: introduction, Interactive murals: introduction and Editing: tracking changes.

  • Integrating technology
    This presentation by Jenny Weal, Cherrybrook Technology High School, was given at the Head Teacher English Conference in 2003.  Getting into Shakespeare snapshot is an additional activity for students studying Shakespeare in Stage 5.

  • Using PowerPoint in the English classroom.

  • Using the Internet to encourage reading in Stage 4 English on the Centre for Learning Innovation web site.
