Leadership
The Professional Learning and Leadership Development Directorate supports the professional learning of school staff at every stage of their career. It does this within the scope of policy statements, related guidelines, protocols. resource allocation, strategies, programs and resources that enable professional learning.
A series of twelve case studies have been developed by head teachers. These are designed to enhance the leadership capacity of both head teachers and aspiring head teachers.
Each case study deals with a complex problem designed to generate rich, collegial discussion about pedagogical and management practices. This case-based learning product has support material attached and useful references to facilitate delivery. "A valid, useful professional learning tool that promotes self confidence and extends leadership skills."
A further twelve cases have been written for primary. Cases are being written to support principals and deputy principals.
