Programming for Stage 6 performance (pdf - 68kb) This document provides one approach for programming performance in the Preliminary Course. The Course Overview provides an example of a “big picture” framework of areas of focus at a given time. In Dance one could argue that we are covering all aspects all the time. The Course Overview is not restricted to only the content areas shown but rather helps to provide a focus for the lessons and units of work. The Program Overview shows a unit of work in more depth with the types of activities, strategies and assessment written in brief. The unit of work explored as an example would occur in Preliminary, Term 1 around week 2 or 3. The Lesson Plan provides in-depth detail of the types of exercises and strategies used in a particular lesson. It is followed by a page, which details considerations for designing sample diagnostic assessment advice Programming for Stage 6 composition (pdf 80kb) This document provides one approach for programming composition in the Preliminary Course. The units of work and the sequence described are an example and are therefore not meant to be prescriptive or definitive.
