The focus is then narrowed with the modelling of a further brainstorm. Students look at pictures and listen to audios and identify, select and group the information that can be found in each. There is also a character analysis activity. This notebook encourages note-taking development. The COGs connection focus is: exploring events in Australia’s past to better understand how our history shapes and influences the future. It includes a series of videos which looks at a class in a Chinese school voting for a class monitor in a democratic way for the first time. Students will decide the characteristics required to become a school captain and have the opportunity to create a poster, video and animation to support their campaign.
