Curriculum support for NSW Public Schools

Teaching ideas home

These resources support the collaborative teaching and learning partnership of teacher-librarians and teachers. They offer opportunities to extend and enhance the educational and curriculum development role of teacher-librarians. We hope to build on the approaches presented in the professional journal, Scan. These examples model best practice through collaborative activities and possibilities for action research and evidence based practice. Book raps, work samples, information literacy units, Book Week ideas and virtual conferences are just a few of the ideas available.

Recent issues of Scan featured articles by Professor Len Unsworth, which provide helpful ideas for supporting literacy in a digital world. Here they are as sample articles for you to enjoy. Subscribe to Scan for these and other articles which offer current support and practical ideas for teacher librarians working with teachers.
