Resource review program
The resource review program assists schools in selecting resources. Resources are selected for review based on Departmental priorities and the appropriateness of the resources to the curriculum.
Resource reviews are provided for teachers to support their teaching and learning programs.
Reviews are available in Scan and on the School Libraries and Information Literacy Unit website in the Resource Reviews database.
English HSC Area of Study: Belonging resource list is now available.
A range of resource reviews supporting Reconciliation are available in the Aboriginal education K-12 resource guide and also in the Resource reviews database. You can search the reviews database or in the pages of the resource guide PDF using terms such as Reconciliation and Stolen Generations. You might also like to read the National apology memorandum.

If you wish to become a reviewer and you are presently employed as a teacher-librarian, teacher, consultant, curriculum adviser or in an administrative capacity with the NSW DET, you may email the Review Coordinator at elizabeth.chase@det.nsw.edu.au. Further details including an application form and Departmental guidelines for writing reviews will then be forwarded to you.
Bibliographies to support the teaching of initiatives like Respect and responsibility can be compiled from the reviews. The Core collection list is in the section of publications for teacher-librarians.
