The memorandum on teacher librarians sent to Departmental regions and schools in 2005 may also be of assistance (intranet only).
Handbook for school libraries (2nd edition) SCIS 863927Although some elements of the first edition of the Handbook for school libraries have been retained, this edition addresses the emergence of information literacy as an essential component across all KLAs, particularly as new technologies develop and information is delivered in different formats. The handbook focuses on the creation of a learning environment which develops learners' information handling skills within an effective resource and technology infrastructure. It provides information and guidelines on the procedures and practices for policy development, and the organisation and management of information services in NSW government schools.
