Envisioning school libraries
A moderated discussion blog, School libraries 21C, is hosted here from 1 June 2009. Dr Ross Todd and Lyn Hay will guide the discussion. Consider options such as a school or team or professional network focus group, which could post a combined response to aspects of the discussion. Print this guide if you or your group would like a printable version of all the discussion points, or hints for using the blog.

HSC English Area of Study: Belonging resource list is now available.
OASIS Web Enquiry update:
· The PRC matches for the 2009 lists have been completed and you will now see these in any searches.
· A new Reading list for matches for the HSC English Area of Study: Belonging is also now available.
· Select the list in OASIS H3 management to provide this for your library.
· Resource reviews and book cover images have also been updated.

Connected Classrooms creating learning communities using video conferencing technology and Quality Teaching, in Scan 27.4, showcases the potential of IWBs and video conferencing tools to enhance and enrich learning.

A snapshot of interactivity at Wiley Park Public School library, in Scan, highlights the use of IWBs as engaging teaching and learning tools, with examples of K-6 students interacting with technology in the library.
Happily blogging @ Belmore South, in Scan, explores the use of blogs, avatars, vokis and wikis to engage students in creative, purposeful learning with meaningful audiences.
The updated Copyright section for the Handbook for school libraries is now available. This provides the latest internet and digital related copyright guidelines for school libraries and teacher librarians, including format shifting issues and labelling requirements. The Copyright FAQs section of our site has also been updated to reflect the latest copyright advice.

For NSW government schools there is information on the OASIS Thin Client project and how to download SCIS records on the OASIS Thin Client Implementation page of the School Systems site on the DET intranet. The detailed support documents include instructions on downloading SCIS records to OASIS in the document Loading USMARC records.
