Walking together, Learning together Curriculum Directorate's professional learning 2009

Welcome

Curriculum K–12 Directorate will again provide a range of workshops and other professional learning opportunities across New South Wales. These practical and relevant activities will:

  • enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of NSW syllabuses
  • allow participants to discuss syllabus implementation issues with consultants and fellow practitioners
  • develop and enhance professional networks
  • provide up-to-date information on Departmental curriculum policies and priorities

The 2009 statewide workshop program will provide learning and development opportunities in a wide range of subject areas and across all stages of schooling.  Given the devolution of professional learning funds to schools from 2004, many of these activities will incur a charge to meet the costs of conducting them. For some programs funded from external sources, there will be no charge.

This professional development program represents one aspect of the support that the Curriculum K-12 Directorate provides to teachers in our public schools.

Yours sincerely
Rob Randall
Director, Curriculum
