Teaching and Learning
The SciTech Programming Tool

The Programming Tool has been devised to assist teachers to design and document units of work. It will enable you to select syllabus outcomes and related big ideas to be addressed by the unit. Scaffolding is provided to help plan learning experiences based on the processes of designing and making, and investigating. From planned learning experiences, assessment items can be selected and indicators written.
Spaces are provided for notes on various aspects of your program, e.g. unit purpose and focus, links to other learning areas, sequence, resources, teacher reflections and unit evaluation.
Exporting your program
An 'export ' option will enable you to transfer your work to other applications. When you export your program, it will be saved as a html file, can be opened using your web browser and can be printed.
Alternatively, you can open the exported file from within Microsoft Word™ and then save a Microsoft Word ™ version of your work.
The programming tool enables you to enter information required by most schools and school systems for their documentation.
