Opportunities
To extend student learning opportunities there are a range of opportunities for teachers to access, and encourage students to engage in, that will challenge and reinforce their understanding and skills in the area of science and technology and apply them in real life contexts. These activities are linked to syllabus outcomes and can be readily incorporated into the classroom curriculum. Many of these are opportunities are competitions and may have a focus on the science or technology strands separately, while others cover both strands of the learning area.. Several of these competitions are sponsored by the Department of Education and Training.
