Road safety education

The leading cause of death and serious injury for young children is traffic-related accidents. To promote the health and wellbeing of children in the traffic environment, school PDHPE programs should include a significant road safety focus.
This aspect of the PDHPE web site provides teachers a number of options relating to road safety education.

Consultancy support for schools in 2006  
The Road Safety Education Program within the Department of Education and Training (DET) provides a statewide road safety education consultancy service to NSW government schools.
