Sexuality education K-6

It is important when teaching about sexuality that teachers have an understanding of the term sexuality and the areas that underpin the concept. Sex and sexuality is often thought of in very narrow terms, however it includes things such as how we see ourselves, what it means to be male and female and how we relate to others. Sexuality education includes not only the facts about the human body and how it works, but also about emotions, feelings, attitudes, values, decision-making, relationships and communication.
