The mathematics unit is offering the following workshops to further support the implementation of the K-6 Mathematics syllabus. Further information will be available during term 1, 2009.

Transforming numeracy in the middle years This one day workshop aims to strengthen the effective teaching of mathematics in the middle years by focusing on strategies to address problems associated with comprehension and transformation identified through Newman's error analysis. NOTE FOR 2009 WORKSHOPS

A registration fee of $110 (incl. GST) for government schools will be charged for each participant. This fee includes morning tea and lunch and all workshop materials.
Teachers who wish to register for any of the advertised workshops need to be approved by the principal to attend the professional development workshop.
Cost of teacher relief should be met through school professional learning funds.
Registrations close five working days before the scheduled workshop.
