Australian Mathematics Teacher Enrichment Project (AMTEP)
The Australian Mathematics Trust has initiated AMTEP in order to provide professional support for teachers of mathematics in Australian Schools. To this end it has accredited the Graduate Certificate in Education (Enrichment Mathematics) with the University of Canberra.
The course enhances teachers' capacity to enrich mathematics for students, particularly those with mathematical talent, in years 5 to 10. It consists of coursework and a school-based research project and can be used as credit for one quarter of a Master of Education Degree.

The Teacher Exchange Program provides the opportunity for New South Wales teachers to work in different education systems, exchange ideas and knowledge, and observe different educational practices while living in other cultural contexts.
Participants exchange teaching assignments and accommodation with overseas and interstate teachers for a period of one year, generally beginning in January.
This program is available to full-time permanent teachers in New South Wales government schools and Technical and Further Education colleges who have at least five years' teaching experience.
