Mathematics programming support

Mathematics programming support provides an overview of the continuum of learning in each sub strand of the Mathematics K-6 Syllabus, 2002.  Sample teaching tasks are linked to available resources and include planned assessment. It is not designed to be a total teaching program.   Teachers can use this resource to:

  • plan for quality teaching in Mathematics
  • engage in stage based discussion on how to best meet the needs of students
  • discuss, as a school staff, the continuum of learning across stages for each sub strand
  • trial the suggested assessment tasks
  • engage in a process of moderation with colleagues using the work samples provided.
