Cross Curriculum
The Board of Studies has developed cross curriculum content that is to be included in the outcomes and content of the mathematics syllabuses. The content addresses issues, perspectives and policies that will assist students to achieve the broad learning outcomes.
These cross curriculum content areas relate to the mathematics syllabuses:
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that utilise ICT will be available through Learning objects.
Numeracy
A fundamental component of learning across all areas of the curriculum. A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that focus on numeracy.
Numeracy in other Key Learning Areas
A range of numeracy activities linking to the Key Learning Areas will be made available as they are developed
Literacy
A fundamental component of learning across all areas of the curriculum. A range of teaching and learning opportunities in mathematics that focus on literacy in mathematics.
Gifted and Talented students (GATS)
Sample units of work and ideas for implementing extension programs in mathematics.
