NSW Department of Education and Communities

Curriculum support for NSW Public Schools

Count Me In Too Online

Count Me In Too (CMIT) Online is an initiative which supports the Department’s CMIT program in schools which are already implementing CMIT or for schools that are using CMIT for the first time. The project uses 123 Count with me  and support materials to provide professional development to schools.

CMIT Online 2015

CMIT Online runs for the duration of the school year. The initiative is supported by Edmodo, which will be used as a discussion site for participants as well as an area to post comments on completion of set tasks.

The CMIT Online course will also be supported by professional learning sessions using Adobe Connect.

These sessions will be held on:

Wednesday 18 March from 3:30-4:30 pm

Wednesday 29 April from 3:30-4:30 pm

Wednesday 20 May from 3:30-4:30 pm

Wednesday 10 June from 3:30-4:30 pm

Wednesday 19 August from 3:30-4:30 pm

Wednesday 4 November from 3:30-4:30 pm

The initial training day for school facilitators will be held on Wednesday 4 March.

The evaluation of the Count Me In Too Online project sought to:

  • summarise the key ideas emerging from the teacher's evaluation
  • analyse how the discussion site is being used
  • suggest ways of improving participation on the site

The teachers reported that the project tasks were relevant to their classroom practice and the school meetings were valuable in providing opportunities to work collaboratively and share ideas. They found the 123 Count with me very useful and they felt that their knowledge and skills had improved as a result of their involvement with the Online project.
