Games

Scrabble auf Deutsch!
The old favourite has been adapted into a great classroom activity. To be played in teams, or as individuals, and suitable for any age group, this set of rules and game board will help your students on their way to developing vocabulary and language skills.
Simply download the game and colour photocopy it on to an OHT. If your school does not have access to a colour photocopier, contact Elisabeth on 02 9886 7643 or email elisabeth.robertson@det.nsw.edu.au, and she will send you a coloured OHT of the game board.

Trimino Games
Trimino games are a fun and effective way to build students vocabulary or to develop their grammatical skills. A trimino is a shape (e.g. star, triangle, square) which has been cut into smaller pieces. Only when students match the correct pairs, will they be able to reassemble the shape to its original form. This link includes a short explanation, sample trimino games and blank triminos so you can get creative!

Numeracy bingo
Next time you're teaching numbers, try a slightly more challenging version of this class favourite. Instead of reading out the numbers, read out simple sums. A sample game is provided here for the numbers 1-40.

Spielen wir im Deutschunterricht
