Teachers' Association of German in NSW (TAG!NSW)

TAG!NSW stands for the Teachers’ Association of German in NSW. Our organisation was founded as a voluntary group in 2001. After several years of operating as an independent network, in 2008 TAG!NSW became a sub-group of the Modern Languages Teachers' Association in NSW (MLTA NSW). MLTA members are employed in government and non-government schools and reside in both regional and metropolitan NSW.

TAG!NSW was formed with the express intentions of:
• providing peer support and promoting cooperation between teachers of German
• promoting the teaching and learning of German
• coordinating events for learners of German
• facilitating professional development for teachers of German
• developing and maintaining links with similar bodies at a national level
• expressing and protecting the interests of teachers and learners of German in NSW.

We work together with organisations such as the Department of Education and Training in NSW, the Goethe-Institut and the National Association of Teachers of German (NATG).

For more information about TAG!NSW, contact our president:
