Student scholarship opportunities and exchange programs

The Society for Australian-German Student Exchange
The Society for Australian-German Student Exchange (SAGSE) awards scholarships to Australian students each year to travel to Germany during their summer holidays. The exchange program aims to give students an insight into a foreign culture and build up links of friendship between the youth of these two countries. It operates in New South Wales and Victoria, and is sponsored by German and Australian businesses, teachers' associations and fundraising activities of past scholarship holders. 

Southern Cross Cultural Exchange
Southern Cross Cultural Exchange is a not-for-profit professional organisation specialising in international educational exchange programs. 
 
Student Exchange Australia
Student Exchange Australia Ltd. is an Australian not-for-profit company registered as a secondary exchange organisation with Departments of Education around the country.

Youth for Understanding
Youth for Understanding (YFU) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit international youth exchange organisation. Its core program features total immersion in another culture through an educational home-stay experience provided by dedicated volunteer host families.YFU strives to generate cultural awareness and cross-cultural understanding amongst youth in Australia. We provide generous scholarships for students who need financial assistance to go on exchange to other YFU countries in the world.

AFS Australia
AFS offers two month exchange programs to German over December/January for students aged between 14-17.
