LEO German-English Dictionary
What we believe to be the best online dictionary - just type in the word or expression you're after (in German or English), and click "Search" for the translation. All entries in new German spelling. 
 
Goethe-Institut
The German culture and language institute's home page. Includes links to ideal texts and exercises for students. 

Languages Online
An innovative resource created by Victoria's Department of Education and Training to support Early and Middle Years students of Languages. For German, Languages Online offers over 120 fun and engaging self-paced interactive exercises for students, and over 120 printable worksheets for teachers to download. Also available in French, Indonesian and Italian. Highly recommended!

Photo albums
Developed by The Learning Federation, students are able to look through sample photo albums, exploring the daily life, school life and celebrations of young Germans. Two levels are available for each album. Level 1 is suggested for Years 5-8 and Level 2 is suggested for Years 9-10.
