Study opportunities for teachers of German

Goethe-Institut L Scholarships
The Goethe-Institut, in cooperation with Curriculum K-12 Directorate, offers a limited number of primary and secondary teachers of German an opportunity to improve their knowledge of the German language and culture by attending a course at a Goethe-Institut in the Federal Republic of Germany. The courses are designed for teachers of German with a good knowledge of German and experience with German methodology and didactics. Applications for 2008/2009 have now closed but information for 2009/2010 will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.

Goethe-Institut GDL Scholarships
The Goethe-Institut, in cooperation with Curriculum K-12 Directorate, offers a limited number of primary and secondary teachers of German an opportunity to improve their knowledge of the German language and culture by attending an eight-week residential course at a Goethe-Institut in the Federal Republic of Germany. The courses are designed for teachers of German who wish to improve their German language skills. Applications for 2008/2009 have now closed but information for 2009/2010 will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.

Goethe-Institut German Summer School
The Summer School is a 10 day German language and cultural immersion programme designed specifically around the needs of teachers and tertiary students of German. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to refresh and consolidate their German language skills and socio-political knowledge of Germany. The Curriculum K-12 Directorate supports a  limited number of teachers of primary and secondary schools to attend the German Summer School which is held in January each year. Applications for 2009 have now closed but information for 2010 will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.
