Environmental Education

Environmental cross-curriculum content is an integral part of the teaching and learning in HSIE K-6. It is explicit in the syllabus outcomes and related subject matter. Teachers and students develop an understanding of the spatial and ecological dimensions of a range of environments; natural and built features of the local, regional, national and examples of global environments found in Australia. Students learn to apply the knowledge and understandings gained to develop thier own opinions and to act responsibly with regard to a range of environments.
