English K-6 Programming and Assessment Support
Do you want:
- practical programming and assessment support for English?
- to know how to pull together a total teaching program?
- to walk away with a process and a plan for a term?
By working through a planning, programming and assessing cycle, participants will:
- identify focus areas for English programming
- look at how the literacy of other KLAs can be built in
- explore new assessment materials and strategies
- prepare assessment tasks for and of learning
- write an English program for a school term
These workshops are designed to support teachers at their point of need - being suitable for early career and established teachers. Teachers who attended the English Programming Support workshops in 2008 may also find these workshops useful as they will be using new assessment practices and support material not yet published online.
Participating in the workshop via videoconference
The videoconference workshop is available to teachers who can work from their school or another location (e.g. regional office, TAFE) via videoconference for the day. This workshop is similar to attending a venue except that participants will connect with the presenter and other participants at the start of and throughout the day. They will also be working on tasks at their site and sharing these with others via videoconference throughout the day.
For participants who are new to videoconferencing, this is a great opportunity to trial!
