This resource provides the generalist classroom teacher with:
- guidelines and ideas for developing a range of learning activities for teaching K-6 visual arts
- teaching and learning activities that model an approach to planning a whole-school visual arts program
- detailed making and appreciating activities in each lesson

Shaping ideas units of work
Eachunit of work consists of three sequenced learning experiences with detailed learning activities, teaching notes and language and resource lists.

Objectives and outcomes were written before the Creative Arts K-6 Syllabus was published. However, teachers can align syllabus outcomes with unit content and devise appropriate indicators of achievement.
