Using ICT in Creative Arts
The syllabus provides many opportunities for students to explore and use technology, both traditional and computer-based.
Within the scope of the syllabus each artform includes provision for learning experiences using traditional technologies, e.g. ceramics and photography in visual arts, conventional and non-traditional instruments in music, puppetry and mask in drama, and the incorporation of accompaniment and props in dance, in a range of contexts.
In visual arts and drama, the use of digital forms is explicit in the scope of content. In all artforms, students can use a range of technologies to create works, and to reflect on, and record processes.
Students can access the Internet to research the work of artists. Students can use graphics, animation, word-processing and multimedia software programs to create a range of works and responses to works.
