Teaching Reading: a K-6 framework aims to provide a guide to the systematic teaching of reading from Kindergarten to Year 6 within the context of the English K-6 Syllabus. Understanding reading is an explanation of the elements of reading while teaching and learning covers programming, assessment and strategies. Organising for instruction suggests organisation of literacy sessions and text selection. Also included are teaching and learning programs and examples.
